BritRail South West Flexi Pass Low Season Promo Conditions

Territory and Boundaries:

The Boundary Stations of the BritRail South West Pass are: London Paddington, Greenford, Marlow, Henley, Reading, Didcot, Oxford, Banbury, Hereford, Gloucester, Bristol Parkway, Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol Temple Meads, Weston-Super-Mare, Barnstaple, Gunnislake, Newquay, St.Ives, Penzance, Falmouth Docks, Looe, Exmouth, Weymouth, Portsmouth Harbour, Basingstoke and Gatwick Airport (access to Gatwick Airport via Reading, not valid on Gatwick Express trains).


Excluded Services:
The BritRail South West Pass cannot be used to travel on the following routes: any train west of Swansea; any train between Gloucester and Newport via Chepstow; First Western's Night Riviera sleeper service, unless a berth has been purchased in addition to the BritRail South West Pass; any train services east of Portsmouth, even if this route is operated by First Great Western; any route in South Wales other than the Newport - Cardiff - Swansea mainline; any service operated by Arriva Cross Country, Arriva Trains Wales, Chiltern, Southern, First Capital Connect, Southeastern or London Midland.

Further Conditions

Pass Conditions

  • Travel must be between 1 November 2017 and 28 February 2018.
  • Passes are available to purchase until 12:00 AEST 22 February 2018.
  • Passes must be validated prior to your first train trip.
  • Not valid on the London underground system or any other metro travel.
  • Free bonuses use a day of your pass.
  • If transiting through a country not covered by your pass, you will need to purchase a separate ticket locally
  • Britrail passes cannot be used by residents of the UK.
  • Your Britrail South West Pass is valid in the class indicated on the Pass. 1st class passes can also be valid in 2nd class cars. For 1st class travel with a 2nd class pass, you need to pay the full difference between 1st and 2nd class fare locally on the respective route.
  • There is no refund for 1st class pass holders traveling in 2nd class.
  • Seat and Sleeper reservations are not included in the price of a pass. They must be purchased in addition to the pass and are subject to availability.

 

Pass Refunds

  • Passes must be returned to International Rail within 6 months from the date of issue.
  • Passes must be unused and in original condition.
  • A cancellation fee of 25% applies to approved refunds.
  • Lost or Stolen passes are not refundable and cannot be replaced.

 

Reissuing Passes

This usually occurs if a pass needs to be changed due to incorrect spelling of a name or a different passes is required.

  • Passes can be reissued if they are returned within 6 months of issue, not validated and in original condition.
  • A $20 fee will apply per person per pass and any difference in the cost will need to be paid.
  • The applicable shipping fee will apply to send out the new pass.
  • The pass must be the same or of greater value.
  • Refund conditions apply to downgrade a pass.
