Swiss Travel Pass Bonuses

Pass holders are granted reduced fares and sometimes even free offers with many companies. The traveler can obtain these discounts locally with  the company offering the discount.

Rules for using extra Pass Benefits

  • For a reduced passage, the Pass must be valid for the country of departure OR the country of arrival.
  • If traveling at a reduced rate, the travel may take place at any time, provided it is within the overall validity of the Pass, even if all the travel days in the calendar have been used up.

When traveling on a Flexi Pass (with a certain number of flexible travel days) please note:

  • Free transportation requires use of a travel day; in case of a free overnight ferry, the holder may either enter the day of departure or the day of arrival in the calendar.
  • Reduction benefits do not require use of a travel day.

BONUSES

Mountain Top Trains & Cable Cars

  • 50% discount with the Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, Swiss Youth Pass and Swiss Card on Cable cars and Mountain trains not included in the Swiss travel System range of passes. Please refer to STS map or enquire at the relevant mountain railway/cable-car station.
  • Exception: on the Kleine Scheidegg-Jungfraujoch route, holders of Swiss (Saver) Pass, Swiss (Saver) Flexi Pass and Swiss Youth Pass are entitled to 25% discount.
  • 20% discount on the normal fare of the Furka Cogwheel Steam Train : (www.furka-bergstrecke.ch)
  • 20% discount on the entrance fee in the Swiss Miniatur Museum: (www.swissminiatur.ch)
  • The Swiss Flexi Pass also offers 50% discount on the entire Swiss Travel System network (trains, buses, boats, cable cars) on the days they have not validated for free travel, but only between the first and the last day of free travel.
