Swiss Transfer Ticket Conditions
Pass Conditions
- Passes must be validated within 6 months from the date of
issue.
- Passes must be validated prior to your first train trip.
- All members listed on the pass must be present when validating
the pass.
- Your trip must be the most direct route to your
destination.
- Swiss Transfer Tickets cannot be used by residents Switzerland
and Liechtenstein.
- Your Transfer Ticket is valid in the class indicated on the
Pass. 1st class passes can also be valid in 2nd class cars. For 1st
class travel with a 2nd class pass, you need to pay the full
difference between 1st and 2nd class fare locally on the respective
route.
- The Swiss Transfer Ticket is not
valid on the Glacier Express Train
- The Swiss Transfer Ticket can be used on the Glacier
Express Line, but only if the section
track needed is a part of the most direct route to your
desitnation.
- There is no refund for 1st class pass holders traveling in 2nd
class.
- Seat and Sleeper reservations are not included in the price of
a pass. They must be purchased in addition to the pass and are
subject to availability.
- Passholder seats are limited.
Pass Refunds
- Passes must be returned to International Rail within 12 months
from the date of issue.
- Passes must be unused and in original condition.
- A cancellation fee of 25% applies to approved refunds.
- Lost or Stolen passes are not refundable and cannot be
replaced.
Reissuing Passes
This usually occurs if a pass needs to be changed due to
incorrect spelling of a name or a different passes is required.
- Passes can be reissued if they are returned within 6 months of
issue, not validated and in original condition.
- A $10 fee will apply per person per pass and any difference in
the cost will need to be paid.
- The applicable shipping fee will apply to send out the new
pass.
- The pass must be the same or of greater value.
- Refund conditions apply to downgrade a pass.
