Can you reserve seats for rail
passes holders?
Yes we can and the first journey must be advised at time of
booking. Subsequent sectors can also be reserved on arrival in
Canada.

Can you reserve sleepers for rail
passes holders?
You cannot purchase a Sleeper in
conjunction with a CanRail Pass. They are only valid
for economy class seats.

Do I need to pre book my
seats?
Inidividual Tickets = No, your seat reservation is included in
your ticket price for the date and time you booked.
Passes = You must reserve a seat when using a pass.

Are meals included in my
ticket?
Meals are included with any of our sleeping accommodations on
the western trains #1 and #2 which travel between Toronto
- Vancouver - Toronto.
Meals are included during the summer with sleeping
accommodations (Sleeper Plus option) on our eastern trains # 14
& 15 between Montreal - Halifax - Montreal.
Meals are included during the summer with our Touring class on
trains #5 & 6 operating between Jasper - Prince Rupert -
Jasper.
Meals are included with any of our Business class seats on our
trains operating in our Quebec - Windsor corridor.

What are the check-in
times?
60 minutes check in time is reccomended. If you are in business
class you can checkin 30 minutes prior to the trains departure, if
needed.

What sleeper accommodation is on
board?
The below overnight train information is based on the popular
route between Vancouver and Toronto. For information on the
overnight accommodation between Montreal and Halifx contact us.
Economy Class (seat)
Economy class offers competitive rates to suit every
traveller:
- Spacious seats and space to stretch and relax
- Electrical outlets on all the seats
- Blanket and pillow set including polar fleece cover, neck
pillow, eyeshades and earplugs, available for purchase
Dining facilities with at seat snack and beverage service for
purchase

Berths
The Sleeper Plus class offers cosy accommodations, cuisine
prepared on board by our chef and impeccable service. Let yourself
be gently rocked by the peaceful rhythm of the train in a berth, a
cabin for one, two, three or four people, or a suite.
Enjoy all the essential conveniences and little extras:
- Shower in the car
- Exclusive access to the departure lounge (Panorama lounge)
- Priority boarding in Toronto and Vancouver
Night setting includes pillows, sheets, blankets and a shower
pack.
3 Berth Cabin
A cabin for three is designed for three
people.
- Room size: 9 ft. 6 in. x 7 ft. 3 in. (287 cm x 218 cm)
- Mattress size: 5 ft. 11½ in. x 2 ft. 7 in.
(153 cm x 91 cm)
- - Room from mattress to partition is 4 in. (10 cm)
- - Foot end of mattress has 10 in. (25 cm) radius
- Daytime: one sofa and two chairs during the
day
- Night-time: three beds (one upper and two
lower)
- Private washroom
- Mirror over sink
- Access to shower at the end of the car (except in Park
car)
- Air-conditioning
- Baggage space is a small area (approx. one suitcase, one
overnight bag)
- Large window with blind
- Door locks from inside only (no individual keys)
- Other amenities: small coat closet, shoe
closet, fan, drinking water, paper and towels, pillows, sheets and

4 Berth Cabin
A cabin for four is designed for four people.
It consists of two combined cabins for two.
- Room size: 14 ft. 6 in. X 5 ft. (440 cm x 150 cm)
- Mattress size: approximately 5 ft. 11 in. X 2
ft. 7 in. (180 cm x 79 cm)
- Private washroom available inside each double bedroom
- Mirror over sink with electrical razor outlet (110 VAC)
- Individual control for heating, ventilation and
air-conditioning system
- Storage for two pieces of carry-on baggage
- Daytime: four folding chairs
- Night-time: two upper and two lower beds

A cabin for two is designed for two people.

washroom
- Mattress size: approximately 71 in. x 31 in.
(180 cm x 79 cm) on Chateau and Manor cars
- Private washroom available inside each double bedroom

- Individual control for heating, ventilation and
air-conditioning system

Single Bedroom (Roomette)
A cabin for one is designed for one person.
- Room size: 6 ft. 5 in. x 3 ft. 7½ in. (196 cm x 110 cm)
- Mattress size: 5 ft. 11 in. x 2 ft. 6 in.
(180 cm x 76 cm)
- - Room from mattress to partition when bed is down is 2 in. (5
cm)
- - Bed narrows down from 23 in. (58 cm) wide to 14 in. (36 cm)
at the foot of the bed
- Private toilet (bed covers toilet at night)
- Sink over toilet and full mirror
- Access to shower at the end of the car
- Daytime: sofa chair
- Night-time: lower bed pulls out from wall and
upper bed pulls down from wall
- Door locks from inside only (no individual keys)
- Baggage space is a small area
- Window with blind
- Other amenities: fan, shoe closet,
air-conditioning, drinking water, paper and towels, pillows, sheets
and blankets supplied, 110 VAC outlet
There are two types of cabins for one:
- Upper: requires the passenger to step up into the sleeping
compartment, from the main floor of the car
- Lower: on the same level as the rest of the sleeping car

Private Suite
Enjoy a dream voyage in the intimacy of a private suite! Let us
spoil you with:

- breakfast in bed (available upon request)
With your own suite, you will of course enjoy all the privileges
available to Sleeper class passengers: shower access, shower kit
(towel, shampoo, hair conditioner and soap), checked baggage,
priority boarding, etc.
Suites are available year-round on specific legs of the
Toronto-Vancouver (the Canadian) route in
Sleeper Plus class. A suite is designed for
two people. It consists of two combined cabins for
two.

- Mattress size: approximately 5 ft. 11 in. X 5
ft. 2 in. (180 cm x 158 cm)

What are the luggage
restrictions?
Checked baggage
If your train carries checked baggage, pay special attention to
the restrictions. In some cars, you are only allowed a limited
number of carry-on items, but this makes it less cumbersome for
you! Don't forget to carry with you any items you may need during
your trip such as your medication.
Specs for Checked in Baggage:
- 2 articles per person
- Maximum 23kg per item
- Size = 158 linear cm (lenght + width + height)
No checked baggage
If your train does not have a baggage car, you have to store
your suitcases, backpacks, boxes and other baggage in your train
car.
In order to ensure maximum comfort for all passengers, we may ask
you to limit your number of carry-on items.
Specs for Carry On Baggage
Option 1
- 2 articles per person
- Maximum 11.5kg each
- Size = Length 54.5 cm, Width 39.5 cm & Height 23 cm
- Plus 1 personal article (laptop or small bag), 11.5kg in
weight
Option 2
- 1 article
- Maximum 18kg
- Size = 158 linear cm (lenght + width + height)
- Plus 1 personal article (laptop or small bag), 11.5kg in

Where are the shower facilities
located?
Enclosed sleeping accommodations have a sink and toilet on all
of our trains. Trains 1 & 2 also have a shower in each of
the sleeping cars with the exception of the Park Car (dome
observation car at the rear of the train. Trains 14
& 15 have a shower wand in the deluxe cabins for two the
other cabins do not have the shower wand.
A shower kit, containing soap, shampoo and towels, awaits you in
your bedroom. Guests may want to bring a lightweight robe and
appropriate footwear for stepping out of the shower.
