Korail Pass Conditions

Pass Conditions

  • Passes are in the form of an exchange voucher that must be exchanged within 60 days from the date of issue.
  • Passes must be exchanged prior to your first train trip.
  • KR passes cover all trains managed by KORAIL including KTX.
  • Reservations can only be made locally.

Who is Eligible to use a KR Pass

  • You are a non-Korean passport holder who enters Korea as a "temporary visitor"
  • You are a Korean national living in a foreign country who is qualified to live permanently in that country (you must be a permanent resident or have foreign citizenship of another country) 

Pass Refunds

  • Exchange orders that have not been exchanged must be returned to International Rail within 6 months from the date of issue.
  • Exchange orders must be unused and in original condition.
  • A cancellation fee of 50% applies to approved refunds.
  • Lost or Stolen Exchange orders can be replaced.

Original Condition - Not exchanged, written on or filled out and not damaged in any way.
