TranzScenic 14 Day North and South Island Pass/1 Ferry Conditions

Pass Conditions

  • Passes must be used within dates specified on their pass.
  • A start date must be nominated.
  • When travelling on the Scenic Rail Pass, photographic identification MUST be produced for both train and ferry travel.
  • You cannot board a train without a reservation.
  • Your Scenic Rail pass is valid for economy class seats only.
  • All passengers booked together on one rail pass  must travel together at all times.
  • Bookings for Interislander travel must be made 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time.
    You will be given an Interislander reference number which you must produce at the terminal on the day of travel.
  • Scenic Rail passes exclude The Capital Connection service.

 

Pass Refunds

  • Validated passes are non refundable.
  • Un- validated passes must be submitted to International Rail Prior to 14 day before the nominated start date.
  • A minimum cancellation fee of 25% for pass applies for approved refunds.
  • Lost or Stolen passes are not refundable and cannot be replaced.
