The Golden Pass

The GoldenPass Line is one of the most picturesque in Switzerland. It links the Vaud Riviera to Lake Lucerne, which is the historic heart of Switzerland

It begins with a Mediterranean ambiance under the palm trees on the Riviera and then after passing through a tunnel the alpine forests appear. The valley gets narrower and the forests darker along the length of the wild river. The line attains its culminating point (1,274m/4180ft) before reaching Zweisimmen.
